With the candid assurance of everything-is-all right, I could start my series of ten images with a cash machine lost in a wobbly euro zone, and water my doubts under a cerulean shower that refuses to mourn her frozen seclusion. To follow the trail, some automobile relics evoke an air of scruffiness, of horizontal nonchalance for an amorphous lack of fuel. These images transpire the blues, like this crisis unfolding endlessly since I was born; these photographic abandonments breathing tranquillity evoke perhaps ambitions or goals which are not reached or achieved. Questions will linger on the causes or on a possible indulgence in this soft universe but perhaps also on the discovery of otherness and empathy. And be not deceived : the outcomes are always provisional and I love that.
This series was taken during a trip to Corfu in October 2015 and is an extension of my work on traces of errors and fragilty.
